The 2020 CCCA Museum Experience

Save the date! June 5th -7th, 2020.

Each year during the first weekend in June, The Classic Car Club of America Museum hosts The Experience on the grounds of the Gilmore Car Museum. Many Full Classics® are displayed along with automobiles of a specific marque from the history of fine automobile manufacturing. Since the first event in 1987, The Experience has drawn thousands of visitors annually to Hickory Corners, Michigan, where visitors are also able to view over 400 fine automobiles on display on the 90-acre Gilmore Car Museum campus.

This year's theme is all Full Classics® and GM automobiles 1915-1969. As the CCCA Museum is located in Michigan, it is fitting that our marque for this years’ Experience is General Motors automobiles.  GM was founded in Michigan and continues to produce cars at several facilities in the state.   Beginning with Buick and Oldsmobile brands, GM grew to include Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ewing, Holden, LaSalle, Marquette, McLaughlin, Oakland, Opel, Pontiac, Sheridan, Vauxhall, and Yellow Cab.  All of these brands along with all Full Classic® automobiles are invited to participate in The Experience.  Owners need not be CCCA members to take part.

Week-end activities begin Friday, June 5th with an evening reception surrounded by magnificent automotive art followed by dinner at Gilmore Car Museum.

Saturday, journey through the scenic countryside abundant with fresh summer air under sun-filled vibrant blue skies on roads lined with lush green foliage and farm fields of new growth. You will sightsee on a one-day driving tour to visit a private collection and enjoy lunch before returning to Kalamazoo for a group dinner.

Sunday’s Concours is all about the cars! Bring your Full Classic® or your GM car 1915-1969. Cars will be judged by teams including retired and active designers from GM Design along with experienced CCCA judges. Enjoy live jazz music while roaming amongst the cars or visiting with friends. Lunch is provided in Gilmore’s Heritage Center followed by a late afternoon awards parade celebrating winners of the show.

If you have yet to visit the Club’s museum, this event is your ideal opportunity to participate in the week-end activities and also see North America’s largest auto museum, Gilmore Car Museum. The CCCA Museum is located on the beautiful 90-acre campus of Gilmore along with six other independent museums; Cadillac, Franklin, Lincoln, Model A, and Pierce Arrow. Additionally, you will feel nostalgic while enjoying a frozen yogurt in the fully-functioning 1941 Silk City Diner, or by walking through a recreated 1930s Shell Station, a pedal car, and a vintage motorcycle museum. Of the over 400 vehicles on site, your CCCA museum is home to extraordinary automobiles, two of which have been added in the past year. They include a spectacularly restored 1923 Packard 143 Town Car V8 by Fleetwood and a 1947 Lincoln Continental two door Coupe V12.

Register online here or mail your registration form to the CCCA Museum (you will receive by mail or may print from our website). All lodging, meal, & activity reservations must be received by May 1st to receive group rates. I thank you in advance for early registration.
