The 2017 Experience Tour

Saturday brought another beautiful sunny day for our driving tour. Participants gathered at the Museum for instructions before heading out on the 84-mile tour of some of the 162 lakes in Barry County. The tour included a challenge of counting the number of lakes seen and identifying the lake names. Although the written directions accidently excluded a turn (so sorry about that), everyone found most of the lakes before arriving at the Gull Lake Country Club for lunch, overlooking the second largest and most beautiful lake in the area. After lunch, the tour continued to the Off Brothers private collection. This collection is no longer open to the public so we were very fortunate to have access to this wonderful collection. Winners of the “Lake Challenge” were Lee and Floy Barthel and Kent and Amy Jidov. Each received a prize of one free registration to next year’s Experience.
