I am honored to have been asked to be the President of our Museum and only hope that I can come close to filling the immense shoes of the people that have proceeded me in this position. Walter Blenko has raised the bar with his astute management style and I hope that I can fulfill the expectations of those that have asked me to serve.
As many of you know, last year our Museum was upgraded with a new brick tile floor throughout the main floor as well as new lighting to better display our heritage, the many Full Classics® that we have for the enjoyment of our many visitors. Our library continues to receive gifts of precious technical and historical materials to enhance members and guests exploration of our automotive history.
Our Experience 2012 will feature foreign automobiles built up through 1965 and a full and rewarding weekend is planned. We start off first on Friday, June 1 with a country tour to the Abbott Magic Company for some sleight of hand, a great luncheon and a welcome BBQ back at our campus. Saturday will focus on our bi-annual Grand Classic with awards dinner and Sunday our Experience is just that; a fabulous Experience honoring foreign built automobiles displayed in grand fashion at Hickory Corners. Please, we invite all members and their friends and guests to enjoy this great EXPERIENCE.
I will bring new ideas to our Board for implementation this year and while it may take more than a year to get the job done, I feel confident that with the support of you, the CCCA membership and your support of YOUR Museum, we can see a leap into the 21st century technology.
Howard Freedman
